| A day trip to Muir Woods to get back in touch
with Nature. |
My mom really likes these low grade slopes
and is able to powerwalk indefinitely.

|
|
| Unfortunately I don't have anything in the
foreground for perspective, but this fallen trunk is about 6 feet in diameter. |
Not trusting dad's innate sense of direction,
the family consults the trail map. |
|
|
| Gosh, trying to compose the captions for this 2 years
after, I have no idea what I was trying to capture for this picture. |
Same thing for this one. |
 |
 |
| Dad tells me this is a garden snake, but it still scared
me quite a bit since it was my first time seeing a snake outside the confines
of a glass cage. I can't tell the difference between a poisonous one or
a docile one. |
UC Santa Clara's Mascot: the infamous banana slug! |
 |
 |
| An action shot along the trail. |
I had no idea that these hallowed out trees appear naturally
in Nature. I'm not too sure if this was caused by fire or disease, but
still pretty cool. |
