| We're currently taking a ferry ride over to get to the San Juan Islands! Yesterday
the weather was rainy and gray, but it looks like things managed to clear
up nicely! |
Julie and Jeffey (what kinda name is Jeffey?!) just got married.
Our car starts to vibrate a lot from the ship's engine, so we decide
to take a gander upstairs. |

|
| Emma, giving her trademark "You wanna piece of me, punk?" look, as she inspects
the bed. |
At the Tucker House Bed and Breakfast, we got to choose from a wide variety of
delicious breakfast options. Juice, hot cocoa, warm muffins, bagels,
egg custards, fresh fruit mixes? Yes, I'll have one of each. |

|
| Myself in front of the Tucker House, a refurbished 19th century home. The room
we stayed at is called "Dove in the Window" and is at the 2nd floor
window above my head. It came with a 2 person heart shaped jacuzzi.
Too bad more places don't have hot tubs :( |
This is a view overlooking the harbor. The town is quite small. There are about
5 restaurants total, with only about 2 good restaurants. The others
are so so burger joints or bars. |
 |
 |
| Most of the shops next to the harbor cater to tourists with whale watching
and outdoor tours. However most were closed since we are visiting at
off season. |
Our view from the dove in the window: A beautiful little park with outdoor pagoda
is opposite the street. |
 |
 |
| When touring around the island, there are two main national parks here. One is
American camp, the other is British camp on the opposite side of the
island. |
Mt. Baker stands proudly in the distance. A mini Cold War was fought between
the American and British over San Juan Island. The only casualty:
a British pig shot by an American farmer. |
