Under Heaven's Skies
Collective Soul

I got Collective Soul's new CD called "Youth" during Christmas, and its one of the best albums I've heard in awhile! Nothing very inventive in melodies or rhythms, its just that they have an extremely catchy formula for their songs. I have a soft spot for huge rock sound, what can I say?

Evan's CD Playlists

Which version of Sanctus has Evan in it?
Sanctus1: Sounds heavenly. Evan must've sung this.
Sanctus2: Can't fool me, I know an Evan when I hear one! He's definately in this one.

Eat a lot, Like Truong was the most popular choice, followed by Have pointy claws, like Emma. I must admit, Truong's powers of eating have grown, since the initiation of the Atkin's Diet he's on. His ability consume huge portions of meat is only challenged by Nick.

Weather is the pits at the moment, but everything else in life is going nicely. For my senior design project, I'll be helping to design a bike rack system for the ferries in Seattle. I'll put up some interesting photos once we get more in depth on the designs. To tide your curiosity into my life, here's some photos from earlier this year.

Lots of stuff have been a-happening lately. I got accepted to UW's graduate school, and will be attending there next year to pursue a Masters in ME. I've developed a simple website for the Squash Team (we won 1st place in the Emerging teams division). Emma and I went to San Juan Island to stay at a bed and breakfast for Spring break. Read about our adventures here! There's also a small story of me going to California to play Berkeley and Stanford in squash earlier this year.

I'm currently considering a redesign of my website's front page, will probably start implementing this around Spring Break. An article to engrage. Link to the Squash Webpage.

I've just returned from a Squash Trip to Philadelphia. We played Amherst, George Washington, and Haverford at the University of Pennsylvania's Squash courts. We lost our matches 9-0, 9-0, and 5-4 against the above teams. It was a great experience, and I'll have an update with photos up soon. Here are some photos from summer vacation.

Lots of stuff has happened since the last update. I'm applying to graduate school, and hope to get a Masters in ME at either UW, UH, or Stanford. I went to Vegas with the Legion, and also returned briefly to HI for a very short winter break.

As for website updates, the photo album page is updated so it's current. I'll start captioning the rest of the San Fran trip, and then work my way towards the present.

No updates in a long time, but I thought the election merited something. I only have 2 things to share:

Rage Against the Machine:

No shelter if you're lookin' for shade
I lick shots at the brutal charade
As the polls close like a casket
On truth devoured
A Silent play in the shadow of power
A spectacle monopolized
The camera's eyes on choice disguised
Was it cast for the mass who burn and toil?
Or for the vultures who thirst for blood and oil?
Yes a spectacle monopolized
They hold the reins and stole your eyes
Or the fistagons
The bullets and bombs
Who stuff the banks
Who staff the party ranks
More for Gore or the son of a drug lord
None of the above fark it cut the cord
Lights out

After a whole lot of hard work and studing and such, finals are over. I can't really tell y'all how relieved I am. I'll be back on the 16th, so T-7days till my arrival. Curry House, Mitzuken's, and Korean BBQ here I come! July 3 is Bayfest and they've gotten good bands in the past, and this year they don't disappoint. The band this year is Train!!

Vote in the poll if you get a chance. Test your auditory skills by guessing which version of Sanctus was performed by a professional choir, and which had me!

Next week eh? Sorry bout the long delay; I place the blame squarely on school. If I was on vacation, I would update more frequently. Maybe. =) Here are another small collection of photos (Day 2) from the San Fran Trip. Have fun.

Day 1 of Spring Vacation Update is now up. Over 180+ photos taken, and here's about 30. Don't really know when the next update will come, but I'll try to make it by next week. The next one will be a biggie.

All done, all done! Finals are over, and in just two days I'm off to meet family in San Fran for good times. Lots of stuff has happened in the past 2 months. A tour to the local powerplant (update to come soon), classical concert (music also to be posted later), and a good friend comes for a visit.

Check out Punahou's website! Recognize anyone? My dad has really gotten famous locally from helping organize the local Lego robot competitions. Pretty cool stuff. If you want to TA for his robotics class during the summer, let him know. The Punahou Carnival is underway as we speak. There's live streaming video and audio from the webcam at the top right of the main Punahou page. Here's the late update of part 2 of the winter photo galley.

This quarter got off to a shaky start. Both Emma and myself got sick for about 3 days in the first week of school. But things are much better now: we're both feeling much better. This photo gallery update has mostly photos from X-mas vacation and is part 1 of 2. I should have another up in a week or so.

My good friend Orian has resurrected his impressive website, Blueduma, one more time. It has tons of photos from their infamous Vegas thanksgiving trip.

Remember when Harv and myself were in Science Club, and we worked to build a rail gun? Here's a website of a science genius who has built every cool electrical project known. Railguns, gauss guns, tesla coils, this guy has built and documented them all on his website with video. Awesome stuff.

I like UW and Seattle as a city, but I think that I'd like to go to a warmer place for grad school/job after I graduate. It's been overcast almost everyday since I've been back and relatively cold (in the 30's and 40's).

Old News Here.
